bryan_phillips1
A couple of days ago I posted a question in this forum, since then I have been inundated with e-mail alerts all destined for other members. This morning there are another 13 all on a variety of subjects posted recently. I have alerted bboard@photo.net of the problem but as yet it has not been resolved. While I am here can I ask another complete novice question please. On my G-Claron lens the F stops are divided, some by one mark, others by two. Are these marks a known division of the F stop?Regards,Bryan
art_haykin
One mark should mean 1/2 stop, and two, 1/3 stop.
mottershead
Bryan, your message to bboard@photo.net wouldn't have gone anywhere. That is the address FROM which we send alerts, and it receives all the bounces for invalid addresses -- which means thousands of messages per day, since we send many thousands of alerts and about 20% of the addresses are bad. Not surprisingly, no human is reading that mailbox on a regular basis. If you have a problem, please report it to feedback@photo.net. webmaster@photo.net works too. mottershead
(Bryan forwarded me the alerts he had been receiving.) Bryan, these alerts are not intended for other users; from the headers it is fairly clear they are intended for you. You seem to have signed up for so-called "instant" alerts of every posting in the LF forum, and this is what you have been receiving. Do you remember doing that, or is it a bug that you have been put on the alert list?
