I won one of these off ebay real cheap, I expected it to be full of fungus and scratched up, turns out the optics are clean, very little dust even, But it dosnt have a tripod collar for it, anyone know where I can get one or a 3rd party that will fit it proper? Took a couple shots on my Z7 and looks pretty pleasing.

Says "Sold Out "— did OP buy the last one?

If not, i have a makeshift tripod collar for that lens that i'd be happy to send to @mark4583|1. It's not great but it's better than nothing.

I did buy one, cost more than I paid for the lens. thanks for the offer.

Note that the tripod collar for the AIS 300/4.5 and AIS 300/4.5 IF-ED are different. Both are removable "clamshell" tripod collars, but the one for the IF-ED version is wider and possibly has a different diameter, I don't think they are interchangeable. Make sure you get the right one for your lens.

That is correct. According to comparison as shown below the one for sale from the link is for ED-IF version, which's not suitable for the non-EDIF version.

Shot college football in the late 70's with a university pool AI version similar to left one in the pic. How did we ever get anyone moving in focus?

Also got a nice pic of Dizzie Gilespie in concert with that lens. Only about 2 frames on the roll of TX in focus and relatively motion blur free, one was good. Still have an 11x17 somewhere.

Brings back memories. We thought the 4.5 ED-IF was exotic.
