Serial numbers

Do the serial number designations as per the cameraquest tech page apply

equally to 6x9's and 4x5's?

http://www.cameraquest.com/techs.htm is a page that explains the years and models of Linhof 4x5's based on their serial numbers. I've been scouring the web for weeks, but haven't found anything similar to relate to the 6x9's.

The question came up, due to a potential sale of a 6x9 super technica V on e-bay. However, the photo (see the previous thread) didn't seem to match the description of a V.

hello. i have quite a "frankenstein" linhof technika. as i am new with linhof and because someone removed the viewfinder and attached a plate its not super easy to find out. unfortunately the serialnumber on top is gone as the accessory shoe is gone. i cant imagine that there is no other number somewhere. every high quality gear of that time had some fix serial numbers somewhere. is there a hidden one under the cover? if yes where could that be found?

also any other hints on the possible model would be great.
