Greetings.. from 2004

Does anyone remember the original owner of this site Philip Greenspun? I used to read his blog way back when and I always enjoyed the random photography he embedded in his posts. Back then, this site was a pet project of his and was eventually sold. I was out of action for many years, and recently came back to find I could not log into the site anymore. With the help of William Michael and Sandy Vongries, I was able to recover my accout, so thanks again for all of the help! Edited August 17, 2020 by astronomy

Yes I remember Greenspun, but only from a distance: AUS is a distance from the USA for the Friday coffee meet he organised.

 

I became an active and regular reader of Photo.net around 1998~99 and I too became a member in 2004. There are many names I remember and about a dozen folk I have the pleasure and honour of their friendship: a few very close friendships have developed.

 

I have met five members face to face and that was very enjoyable.
