atakume
Hi, I'm looking for mirrorless digital camera that will work well with canon fd lenses and will work allow to control shooting/preview from PC via USB/PTP. I'd be glad for any suggestions. Thanks
mwmcbroom
Well, there's a bit more of a variety with mirrorless cameras now than there was just this time last year. As for PC connectivity, this is something you'll have to investigate with each maker. Visit their websites and read up on their connectivity capabilities. Now, in addition to the Sony Alpha and NEX series, there is the Nikon Z system and Canon's new and improved system. Any of these can be adapted for use with Canon FD lenses -- just give the adapter makers for Canon and Nikon time to catch up, if they haven't already. invisibleflash
OP, can only add Sony may have soft corners with many adapted lenses.
thomas_goehler
Use one of the various Canon EOS M models plus a cheap adaptor for 10 bucks and you will be happy.
atakume
Hi, Thanks for replies. I'll checkout Canon Eos M as they at least have smartphone control options (M5 for example), and will check if driver also allows pc control via usb.
rick_janes
Here's the new Novoflex EOSR/CAN adapting an FDn 50/1.2 L to a full-frame EOS R mirrorless body. Together, they balance and handle like something straight from the Canon factory, aided by this lens' silky smooth focusing action.
