Getting a reply from Photo.net is impossible

I had considered paying for membership BUT after uploading a bunch of images and getting froze out several times in the process, then thinking I lost the images I had uploaded. Actually what happens, is I'll find out later that the pixs DID upload BUT lost all the information I had painstakingly typed in for each image, I reconsidered my paying to be a member. Add to that, I wrote photo.net about this problem but they have ignored me, or are too busy snapping pixs in the outdoors, and it's been at least a week and a half ago when I contacted them. The upload problems were quite frequent and it's a huge pain having to retype ALL the keywords, image description, etc for each image, and it was a lot of images. Is anyone else having problems while uploading images and the upload freezes? Anyone else having problems and contacting management, and not getting any reply, or am I the only one? Thanks

It still continues. Sometimes the upload goes without a hitch, but more often, it freezes and I have to do all the retyping of all keywords, descriptions, etc. It's a huge pain. Plus, I do not see anywhere where there is a opt out/close account button. I read another question of the same subject, and it was mentioned to lok in accounts. I just looked again in accounts, and there is NO close account button at all.

If you get the history of my account, about three weeks ago I changed the name of my "nick" here from fototakernandalucia to fototakerWNY. That never worked, BUT I see the new nick still in the account name BUT the account name is still the old "fototakernandalucia"

 

I am deleting galleries right now, and many galleries are NOT deleting, or only a partial deletion is done, leaving a few images behind. Another work in progress?

 

I am sorry, but there are just way too many gulps and hiccups here. If I were to pay for my account, which I had once considered, then everything should work well. Heck, I haven't even received the decency of a reply to my original problem weeks ago.

 

Is there even an actual support dept of more than one person?

 

Please delete my account. Don't even have to wait for me to ask again.... Thank you for an interesting stay

just happened to log in again. pictures still active and i was able to log in. just read your reply Sandy; HOW CAN A SITE OPERATE LIKE THIS? to me it seems VERY UNprofessional, and like one person is doing all the work, and has apparently given up on every and anything that has to do with the site.

 

Just stating the facts.

 

So, when does things get done "in its time"? Only so many more years before it's another decade.... adios

fototakernandaluci ... You are not alone. I ask the same questions about this site. Sandy, the administrator, has been very kind and as helpful as he can be. However, beyond him I have run into the same wall of silence/non-action. I've been a member for a few years and recently retired ... so I'm more careful of my spending. When Photo.net automatically renewed my annual membership I sought to edit my account settings so next time they ask me first. I could not find a way to accomplish that change. In frustration, I thought I'd just cancel my membership. Guess what? I can't find a way to do that, either. I think they figure $29 a year is just pennies and they don't feel obligated to provide any customer service. What else can you conclude? I'm to the point of calling the credit card company and asking them to block any further charges from this site.

Well, I have already reported a situation in that regard, and have gotten a reply. If you go to My Account, the first thing that opens is a screen with a green box upper left that offers the opportunity to Update Payment Method - that is where the tools are located. Unfortunately that flashes in and out too quickly to select, and is replaced by Extend Your Subscription. That glitch has been specifically reported, and hopefully will be fixed. In the interim, my suggestion is that you initiate a conversation with me stating that you do not authorize any charge to your credit card by Photonet, and will dispute and refuse any that might be posted. I will include admin in the conversation. Best I can do.
