I thought I filled out the account and profile info properly, but...

...I have a URL showing under my avatar where everyone else has their user name. I can't seem to find a way to change this. Can an administrator please change it to simply read, "Robert Scott"?

I'm not an administrator, but here's a suggestion. The fact that it works for me doesn't necessarily mean it will work for you, but it's worth a try.

Go to you small avatar at the top of this page. Hover or click to get to the drop down menu and choose MY ACCOUNT. When you're on the ACCOUNT page, scroll down to YOUR INFO. You'll see a box for SCREEN NAME on the left and a box for CONTACT INFO on the right. I have them both filled out with my screen name. I don't remember which one (or both) caused my screen name to appear correctly in posts, so I'd try both and see if it takes hold for you. Good luck.

All the boxes on that page were filled in as I intended, with "Robert Scott" being in the "Screen Name" box. The URL that is currently showing as my screen name is in the "Personal URL" box.

BUT... when I rechecked everything and clicked to edit or save the changes, I got an error message telling me the screen name was already in use. I just tried changing it to "desmobob" I'll find out if it worked when I view this post!

I guess it didn't work! =:-0

I just went back to the page and my "User Name" box now shows "desmobob" as I entered it. I hit the "Save Details" button again and got a little green check mark and "details saved" message, but it still hasn't changed.

Something isn't working.

Doesn't seem to be working. Your screen name still seems to be your url. Probably will need some tech assistance.

I also noticed that when I use the drop-down menu under

The following works on an ios device

 

1. Click on your name (top right next to Inbox & Alerts)

2. From the list provided click on privacy

3. Change Username is at the bottom of the list

4. Log out and log back in.

Thanks Ludmilla... that did the trick! I still get an error message when attempting to go to "My Profile" though, and when I logged back in after changing my user name, my activity chart shows no activity.
