carbon_dragon
Thanks for posting. That article about film developers, adding stuff to D76 to make the film look sharper was interesting. Wonder if it works? It was nice to see those old camera ads. I used to love looking carefully through the ads of Popular Photography (with a magnifying glass). Julio Fernandez
Thanks for another awesome look into the past. Iodide addition to Beutler or D-76 is indeed an interesting idea. M4, Rollei SL66, SRT-101 - what a month in the ads.
Mike Gammill
Reading the color film article again reminded me of how customers used to visit my family's camera shop and ask the dreaded question: which film is the best film? We would tell them to try a few and make their own tests as what my dad liked or I liked might not please them. A certain amount of influence from ads made a difference as we had some that came in specifically wanting Kodachrome 64 or Fujichrome RD 100 or whatever they felt was best. I'll admit test reports influence me, but I still made my own tests. My favorite film in the late 80's and early 90's was Kodachrome 200.
