I first caught the collecting bug with Prakticas and Yashicas, and the TL Electro is still one of my favourites. Your pics demonstrate the quality of that fine lens. Both are definitely keepers. Neither looked in this condition when I got them--there was a layer of what looked like tarnish on the camera, which turned out to be from cigarettes (photog before me must have lived with a Marlboro in his hand). The restoration work was worthwhile, though. Edited July 27, 2018 by m42dave
chuck_foreman1
Erko, great snag on the 124G. Like Bill I have the Mat and I've also had it serviced for the reason stated. I've had mine many many years. Circa 1984 or so for 80,00 USD. They threw in a case which fits the C or D .. I already had the D.. I wanted a metered MF model. I noted that Bill has a hood.. the Yashinon IMHO is a flare magnet. I now use the Bay I hood from the D. @dave.. a beautiful Yashica TL and lens.. bring on the PORN. JD used to insist on this with every post.
Mike Gammill
I'll add some more, these from a roll of Kentmere 100 processed in HC110 dilution H. Camera was Konica Auto S1.6. Some of the images in sunlight utilized a 70's vintage Yashica O2 (orange filter). Slightly darker than the deep yellow that I often use. The O2 is about the strongest I can use with a CDS metered camera before I need to add an extra half to three quarters stop, for example a #25 red. Exploring limits of close focus and DOF, just inside minimum focus at around f 4 or so A few from a morning bike ride. The Konica Auto S1.6 and Auto S2 are light enough to carry even on long rides. area across the road used to have a railroad track Part of the former path of the railroad now has a sidewalk. Kentmere film showing its contrast in this shot. Path or parkway continues back of hardware store (definitely an orange filter on this one) a grill that has seen better days

rick_drawbridge
I managed to put a film through the Pentacon Pentina between the departure of one southerly front from the Antarctic and the arrival of another, and here are some of the results. The Tessar lens is probably the best feature of this camera... For those members unacquainted with the Pentina, there's a pic over on the "What camera are you using this weekend?" thread, and a more comprehensive description here: Some Praise for the Pentina The film was the first cut from a new roll of Arista EDU Ultra 100, developed in PMK Pyro and scanned on an Epson V700 using Silverfast SE software.
