Hi everyone, I am new here.

Did you try looking under the sofa? They sometimes roll under things. :D

Seriously, welcome to the forum. I'm sure someone will have a more practical suggestion. You could try calling or emailing KEH, if you're in the US. If not, you might want to tell folks your general location.

Welcome.

Good luck, but I think this is going to be a hard one to find.

I think the TE with the top battery was only in production for short time;

I wonder if someone with a 3-D printer could make one if you could find one for a template?

Well, I guess the bright side is that the camera will function without a battery. Have you been using the camera without the meter? If it was my camera that is what I'd do. While I searched for a solution (which may never be found) I'd continue to use the camera.

With the great lenses that Rollei 35's have and quiet, reliable shutters, you may find that you don't miss the meter quite so much. But to your original question, I think the 3-D printer solution should work if you can find someone who can help you. And welcome to Photo.net.

Here in Germany I have been using on several occasions a repairman (former Rollei employee, and specialised on the 35 series) who seems to be sitting on a veritable mountain of spare parts. If Massimo wishes to contact me directly, I would then approach the guy on his behalf and see what happens. I doubt he would be prepared to just sell the cover, though, and would rather probably insist for the camera to be sent to him - which would increase costs.

I have wondered that a few times, mostly for things other than cameras.

Someone should start a system to store somewhere designs for battery covers.

Remote controls are one of the favorite for losing them, but just about anything

that needs batteries.

Otherwise, try to find someone with a camera that doesn't work, that will sell

you the cover for a low price.

I looked more at the part in question.

There may be a possibility of cutting a part to "fit" out of something like a black plastic picnic plate? Might be easier than finding a "template" to scan and print.

The cover just a flat square with a little extension. A cut-out part probably wouldn't "function", but it would make the camera more "cosmetic" while you shoot with sunny-16.
