erko_podbicanin
Recently , probably the last 3-4 film scans, I get these black lines , on top or side , or both . I haven't changed anything the way I am scanning . Solution ? Except to crop them out .

I don't know what scanning software you're using but I get this effect if the marquee I've drawn to select the area I want scanned overlaps the edge of the negative. I just crop it out in PP. davecaz
Here are some samples from a series I've been working on entitled "Life in the Service Lane", indulging my fascination with the areas behind the glitzy frontages of the bars and cafes. The camera was the Mamiya 645 1000s with a Mamiya Sekor 55-105mm f/4.5 lens and the film is Arista EDU Ultra 100 developed in PMK Pyro. Scans are from an Epson V700 Photo using Epson software, for a change. 002 005 008 006 004 I love stuff like this; the reality behind the pretty facades. As you've shown, it can also be pretty. I hope someone rescues the chair in 004. If it's a reproduction, it's worth $150. If it's original mid-century, it's worth double that. rick_drawbridge
I hope someone rescues the chair in 004. Glad you share my odd tastes in subject matter, Dave. I did inspect the chair with a view to giving it a good home but the weather had wracked havoc, and the ply seat and back were delaminating.
