Canon F-1n ( not new) servo ee door

Hello again,

Whilst playing around with my canon I managed to break tiny flap where servo ee link goes. I have looked on eBay and also contacted several repair places in the UK, not to avail unfortunately.

Does anyone have old broken F1 and is willing to sell this door?

I did the same years ago. No big deal. A little electrical tape to cover it up is all you need. I never even give it a second thought. About two years ago I sent my F1n to Ken O and asked if he could replace it, and he couldn't for lack of parts. If it really worries you, your best bet would be to find a parts only camera.

Here's my F1n. I bought it way back when they were new and I got the servo for it at the same time. It was not long before that door broke off. I've had it taped that way for at least 30 years. (I got rid of the servo when i got a New F1)

Just happy (sort of) that I'm not the only one who did this.

FYI - that tape IS black.

Just for fun I looked on fleece-bay and saw a couple of junker F1s for less than $35.00 (US) if the lack of that part really bothers you

Indeed it is. When looking at photo on my mobile without zooming it look like clear one.

It doesn't bother me 35$ much :D
