  1. Very noisy when winding. But lightweight. I also struggle to press rewind release button at the bottom once film is done and that puts me off of this camera
  2. A-1 since it has "program" setting as well as aperture priority.
  3. Hi. As said by John previously FL lenses will work with F-1 camera but with some hassle . Canon has made FD 55mm lenses , f/1.2 very decent ones, even non AL version however they are very big and heavy.
  4. It's amazingly good lens, I prefer to carry this lens around more than 1.2 L (since I am a mediocre photographer and I'm very clumsy). 35-105, 3.5 is my carry around but if you have room for more then most of Canon fd lenses starting at 7.5 mm and not finishing at 300mm L are good.
  5. Another one, this time it was taken with Canon A1 and 35—105 / 3.5 lens. Film is Kodak Elite chrome expired in 2001 and processed yesterday by yours truly.
  6. Canon F1-new, FD 35-105mm 3.5 taken on Agfa Precisa. First attempt with positive film, it worked!
  7. A Swannery, last November. Only 10 minutes of no rain. Canon New F1, fd 17mm F4 and Kodak ektar.
  8. I've don e same thing with T90. Resulted in dreaded "EEEE" message, my heart stopped for the moment ....
  9. we use metric ;) Spend few dollars on a Wein-cell ( basically a hearing aid cell), use it and when depleted remove a metal washer from it. Hearing aid cell fits perfectly.
  10. Yes, it would. To answer your other question, re voltage. Hearing aid cell delivers constant 1.4v ( if not mistaken), so in theory, yes it would affect light meter reading. But it would be negligible, besides given the age of your camera ( CdS light meters don't age well, besides they are rather slow to respond), and negative film latitude I would not worry too much. If roll you develop is off to your liking just adjust iso rating on your camera for next roll. It's a bit harder for alkaline cell though, they slowly drop voltage so results would not be consistent. Just don't worry, go out and shoot
  11. This one on the ebay is just a spacer, actual adapter reducing voltage to 1.3 v would be around 30£. Hearing aid cell is much cheaper and works fine on its own in F-1
  12. canon ef , 50mm/1.4 or 35mm/2 , ilford xp2
  13. Canon EF,35mm/2.8 TS, Ektar 100. I've just obtained this lens, such fun to play with knobs! I need to read and understand instructions though
  14. Canon EF, 35mm/2 i 1024 ND filter. Ektar 100
  15. It's a bust of William Shakespeare covered by tulips to make it viewable by general audience :) Photo was made with Canon F1(n) , Canon FD 50mm/3.5 macro lens, and light read with Gossen Lunasix F. Kodak Ektar
  16. Indeed it is. When looking at photo on my mobile without zooming it look like clear one. It doesn't bother me 35$ much :D
  17. Yep, electrical tape is an option. I will use black though.
  18. Hello again, Whilst playing around with my canon I managed to break tiny flap where servo ee link goes. I have looked on eBay and also contacted several repair places in the UK, not to avail unfortunately. Does anyone have old broken F1 and is willing to sell this door?
  19. Hiya, It looks like there was an eveready case for EF, there is one camera and case ( although very tatty) for sale on eBay. Auction number is 122926040313
  20. canon f1, FD 1.2/55mm, f/8 and 4", fujicolour c200, i was just trying how does booster t finder works. Seems that it does :)
  21. I secon gossen luna pro f, which is called lunasix f in the old world. It takes standard 9v battery. You could have lunasix 3 for half of the price but it requires mercury battery, so an adapter would be needed.
  22. Photo was taken in October, I just have developed film. My little town. Canon ef, fujicolor c200, canon fd 1.4/50mm,but light reading taken with lunasix f
  23. Hello again, So in case you are wondering, Yes, on/off flash unit acts as auto when in on position and connected to a ring. And I agree, it is really mediocre flash, I prefer to use sunpak 3000 thyristor. However, as respect to Canon engineers' efforts inventing CAT system nearly 50 years ago, this flash has proper use with my cameras.
  24. Hello all, I have recently obtained new ( to me) Canon speedlite 133d. It looks like it should except for switch, there are only ON and OFF positions rather than usual AUTO, OFF and MANUAL. It has ports to connect CAT ring to it, but I am not sure if CAT system would work with it since it lacks AUTO position. Has anyone seen something like that?
