snapple
Why is it that no matter how I format my photos for Facebook, they are always low-res until the picture is actually clicked/viewed? Help!
chazfenn
I'm not sure I've never had that happen to me! I usually resize the originals to 1280 & paste via the insert photo buttons, maybe there's some kind of size limit & anything over it drops to thumbnails? sallymack
Hi, I post one image a day to FB. This formatting seems to work, I have it as a preset in LightRoom: JPEG 100% quality color space sRGB resize long edge to 11.25 inches at 72 PPI. LR has an option for sharpening, I have it sharpened for screen, standard amount. This set-up works well although FB applies its own algorithm to it, seems to even out contrast a little. Photos without much contrast don't look as good as I would like. Good luck.
donbright
The way to get your Facebook pictures to look as well as you want, you need to upload your image into an album and not a stand alone. When you click on albums you will have a choice of boxes to check, check on HiRes. Images of 2048 pixels is best, like flickr. Images smaller like all media will suffer through compression. LineMartel
Compression is horrible on fb - why not post on pn and share a link on fb?
