Bill Bowes
That Bergger is looking very nice. . guess I will haul out my 135-36 at the races. . . Is that your tri-bander in the background? . N7MOB here. Bill
rick_drawbridge
Is that your tri-bander in the background? No, it 's the property of an old bloke downtown, going on 90 and still a ham radio enthusiast, apparently. You might find the Pancro 400 just a tad gritty in the 35mm format... There's a bigger version here: Zones

Zones The silky smoothness you always seem to get out of every camera/film combination is just amazing. I'm curious, though. I don't see anything in this one that I'd consider Zone 10 (pure white in the zone system I'm familiar with). Am I just not seeing it?

I don't see anything in this one that I'd consider Zone 10 (pure white in the zone system I'm familiar with). Am I just not seeing it? Possibly there's nothing pure white in the location. The picket fence was cream, as was the shed door. Possibly the clouds were the closest to white, but who would trust a cloud? I'm actually not a follower of the Zone System in any slavish sense; I just try to preserve detail in every area of the image, including white. I'm not a fan of blindly following any system of rules, either. Perhaps I read too much into the title. I also don't have any darkroom skills, so I can only print from digital, and I find it necessary to "crush" the blacks and whites a bit in order to get any snap out of my prints. That could mean we have different priorities. Don't misunderstand, though. I wish I could produce the results you produce.

Bill Bowes
For the 30th. . a bit early for sure. Not surprising are the number of farms in this area that are "Co-Ops" of younger people who have pooled capital & labor for their dreams. That effort shows when they bring their labors to the market.
