blumesan
As originally sold the 8000 came with all accessories necessary to scan both negatives and slides. If you are buying a used scanner be sure to ask seller if the scanner is complete with the required accessories.

Ed_Ingold
There are four carriers for negatives - glassless 35 mm, glassless 120, glass, and glass with rotation. I don't know the part numbers offhand, but the information should be on line. The glass carriers should come with masks for various film sizes. The masks are coded, and the carriers may not work properly without them. There are also glassless carriers for 35mm and MF slides.

The glassless MF carrier clamps both edges of the film and slides sideways to remove most of the cupping, if any. It is not completely effective. The glassed carriers are best for critical scanning.

ICE notwithstanding, it is important to clean the film as well as possible. I use a high intensity desk lamp at a shallow angle to highlight the dust. I start with an anti-static brush, and finish the canned "air". If glass carriers are used, equal attention must be made to clean the inner surfaces. The outer surfaces not so much, because they're out of focus. ICE causes artifacts and is slow. I use the minimal setting, which works well if the film is clean. At 4000 psi, the scanner will see dust invisible to your eye.

I also use cotton gloves, lint-free, for handling film and the carriers. Fingerprints attract dust, and adversely affect the anti-Newton properties of the glass.
JDMvW
As Mike and Edward say, you need to get all the parts you need when you buy the scanner. It is next to impossible to find these individually.
Edward's comments on cleaning before scanning are absolutely right, too.
