arnaldo_fustini
Hallo .
I love to take pictures of indoor volley contests .
I currently had a NIKON D750 .
In your opinion what would be the best choice between NIKON 80-400 F4.5-5.6 Vs SIGMA 120-300 F2.8 ex dg os hsm ?
I don't care about optical weight because further taking sport pictures I practise a lot of
sports .......
I really thank you in advance for your comments and opinions .
Have a nice day .
Hector Javkin
You have posted in two different forums. I moved my response to the one you put in the Nikon forums, where others have responded.
ShunCheung
Yeah, there are already a number of answer on the thread on the Nikon Forum: http://www.photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00daWU
The 80-400mm f5.6 will unlikely work well indoors.
john_decker1
I use the nikon 85mm f1.8 and the 80-200mm f2.8 - I like the 85mm it gets just about every shot you need. Plus with poor lighting in many gyms - it helps out as you can lower the f stop down to 2.2 or 2.5 if necessary - I try to shoot at 2.8 most of the time. If I had one lens I'd like to get it would be the 200mm F2 all the pics taken from this match were with a D4 and 85mm lens

jeremy_rundle
I do shoot professionally and I have three lenses that remain with me and the results can be seen here

https://www.facebook.com/JRSPhotography.co.uk

I use the Nikkor (Nikon is the camera, NIKKOR is the lens) 80-400 Nano, (you don't say which version of the Nikkor), on my D4s, and a Sigma 150-600 Sport on the D810, and rarely take them off, except to use the Nikkor f2.8 70-200.

In my opinion the Nikkor 80-400 is THE most versatile lens and I would never be without it especially as it is weather sealed and has been in heavy rain all day with me.
