Tony Rowlett
I use a Thumbs-Up http://www.matchtechnical.com/Pages/ThumbsUpEP1.aspx and really like it. EDIT: I also got this fellow's eye piece magnifier, and it's improved upon my focusing at wide apertures. Backups? We don’t need no stinking ba #.’ _ , J
SolaresLarrave
To me, soft-release buttons are a must; they reduce shaking and help shoot at very slow speeds. Because that's the beauty of RF cameras: that one can use very slow shutterspeeds and get the image. At least, that's the case for me. I cannot shoot my dSLR at 1/8, but there's no problem doing it with my Leicas... thanks to the softie (which makes it even easier).
kirk_thompson
Usually trap, hood, Thumbs Up and softie. But for landscapes it looks like a mini technical camera with carbon tripod, RRS bracket, Frankenfinder, and WATE or MATE – and light yellow filters for Monochrom. I hope nobody will walk by with another Leica and criticize what I've done to it.

ray .
I like the M cameras as-is, including the original strap. Tried Softies years ago but like Barry says, they were always unscrewing. More trouble than they're worth. I do use a 28 external finder for my recently acquired M9. Love love that camera except for the inaccurate framing and limited high ISO performance, although with the latter it is clearly better than the M8. Alex_Es
M9 is nice. My error. That's the Summicron 35/2 Asph.
