mark_stephan2
No it won't be your last because it's called CAS or Canon Acquisition Syndrome. So far I've picked up a EOS-1N, Elan 7E QD and a Elan IIE, the 7E and IIE also included the battery grip. The 3 were relatively inexpensive and came with nice EF lenses that I use with my 40D and 5D.
Rick Helmke
You'll do it again. I've got the Nikon version of this condition and 7 film bodies to show for it. The good part is that bodies that I'd have given blood for back when are literally pennies on the dollar.

Rick H.
PuppyDigs
I still have an Elan (EOS 100) I bought new in 1991 along with a barcode reader and booklet! My shutter curtain gummed up but I was able to unfreeze it with lighter fluid and 1000 Q-tips strokes. 10 minutes of AI servo and that battery is dead.
Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter
JDMvW
I have a lot (no, yours will probably not be your last) EOS film cameras.

Of those one of the few that didn't work well was my Elan (eos 100). alas.
pjmeade
I think the EOS 1000 is a bit on the plastic side, but the two I've got are of superb quality.
craigd
I bought an Elan (the US name of the EOS 100) new back in 1995. Great camera. The surface of the hand grip tends to get sticky after a few years, but a bit of rubbing alcohol takes care of that.
yog_sothoth
The EOS 3 is my favorite. They are not very expensive these days but very nice.
de_isaacs
Andrew -
I am recovering from a serious case of Canon Acquisition Syndrome (CAS) from my youth.
At one time I owened FD series: AT-1,AE-1P 2 * A-1, 2* F-1N, 2 * T-70 and 2* T-90. I then traded up to EOS Mounts and acquired 2 EOS Elan-2's, 2 * Elan-2E, Elan-7 and Elan-7N. I then TRaded those in for Digital and acuired 2* 10D, 2 * 20D, 1* 30D, 1 * 40D. I then (in an effort to cutail my CAS addiction) traded/sold/gave away and got a 7D and a 5D MkII - which is where I have reached a relatively stable point in my CAS habit. Best of luck to you!
I'm Derek - and I'm a (Former) CAS Addict!
Farkle-Mpls
I've two EOS 1v for film cameras and I've had to make myself NOT buy more 1vs just because I find a good bargain. There is the coolness of getting a professional model, "low mileage" camera for $400 but then there is the other part of my brain saying "Really? Do you think you're going to wear out two EOS 1v cameras? Why do you need a third, (fourth, fifth) ..."

I know I'll find sympathy and camaraderie on this forum but none of us will really find answers because we're not really asking a question ...

(And don't get me started on the sense of having five Leica film bodies.)
