Flash Bracket 45047

<p>I finally managed to get my had on a near mint Hassy flash bracket 45047 and it works perfectly. There was no user manual with it and I have not been able to find much on the web. On the bottom of the bracket and about an inch to the right of the handle is a small wheel that rotates. I cannot figure out what it does because I do not see any difference in anything when I rotate it.</p>

<p>Anyone have any idea what that thing is for? I am wondering it if is an adjustment screw for the shutter button release linkage.</p>

Can you post a photo? Without seeing a photo I'd have to agree that it's a shutter release.

Yes, it should lock the release lever to prevent firing. If it doesnt, it is probably broken.
