pmind
While evaluating the new Fujifilm HS50EXR, I've noticed that only the center portion of the display magnifies when using macro mode or super macro mode. I am focusing manually, but cannot change the location of the magnification within the frame. With previous (non-Fuji) cameras I've been able to magnify the display, then use the 4-way directional controller to pan to the desired location within the frame, allowing for precise manual focus on any detail of the subject. Without the ability to pan the magnified area, macro mode is essentially worthless for me. I'm hoping that either I am missing something very basic, or that this is an just an oversight on Fuji's part and a firmware fix is on its way. I'm supposing that this camera operates in a similar way to its predecessors; can anyone shed light on this problem?
