RIP Tom Beitz

<p>Tom Beitz was a member here since 2007, although he seldom if ever posted anything. He passed away yesterday in New Jersey of a heart attack. I thought even though he wasn't active here, many might know him because he was active in many South Jersey photo endeavors. Tom was a Navy shipboard photographer in the 1970s. He performed a lot of aerial photography in the back seat of fighter/trainer jets. When he got out of the Navy he set up a studio and wedding photography business in Cinnaminson/Riverton, and also did school/prom photos. He was a dear friend and will be missed.</p><div></div>

I am saddened to hear of Tom's sudden passing. Tom and I worked together for many years at the main post office in

Bellmawr NJ. Tom was a very generous and caring person who would go out of his way to offer assistance, and to bring

out a laugh as onlyTom could. Tom and I were both military photographers, he in the Navy, and I in the Army. I am glad to

have known him as a co worker and a friend. Rest in peace, you will be missed.
