wazungi
Good Morning Everyone, Isn't it great to have this forum to informally show one another our work? I love to see the variety of interests and skill levels on exhibit here. Your work, Matt, is especially lovely this week--an outstanding photo of a fairly mundane object. And, Martin, yours is right up there; I especially enjoyed the color rendition of the violinist.
Mine this week is one of the decorations from my wife's recent birthday; I liked the contrasts in color and texture between the tree and the ornament. Thanks for looking.

krisheylen
Hello Nikonians,

Yesterday we celebrated "Sant Jordi" (Saint George) here in Catalonia, when tipically the girls are given a rose, and the men are gifted with a book (because of the more recent mixing with the international day of the book). The rose is always given together with a spike of wheat, as a symbol of fertility, and the catalan flag. Every year, I do another take of the rose I give to my wife, and this year I took the symbolic wheat a little further and made it into bread. I guess this is called evolution :-)

Nikon D90 with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8

<a title="Sant Jordi 2013 por Girona_Flashman, en Flickr" href=" src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8543/8674885829_f9a05091c2_z.jpg" alt="Sant Jordi 2013" width="640" height="425" />

ShunCheung
Bill Nelson, right, most of my sea otter images are captured at Moss Landing, California; that is certainly in the Monterey Bay.

Moss Landing is about half way between Santa Cruz and Monterey.

Hope you make it to D.C. sooner than later. The blossoms sure are making the District exquisite during the cherry blossom season. Beautiful peacock feathers!
I'm really glad to have joined photo.net as I see a lot of very nice images specially on Nikon Wednesday.

noreen
Another inspirational Wednesday! Thank you for sharing, everyone!

My D7100 arrived a few days ago and I've set myself a project: photographing the birds that frequent a small garden that I pass on my walk to work. The saguaros are in bloom, and this female Gila Woodpecker (with a tweaked wing feather) has been a reliable visitor for the half hour or so I get to spend there.
