erickpro
I've had this problem for over a year now and can't fix it so I decided to ask someone.
Whenever I make a batch of pictures using Lightroom or Adobe CS5, the first print is ALWAYS inaccurate and the second and third and on are accurate.
It doesn't matter how many times I print it or what I do, if I make a first and second they never match but the second and third and fourth and on and on will always match.

It's as is Lightroom and Photoshop didn't get the ICM configuration correctly on the first print.

Anyone have a clue?
perry_lee
I'm thinking you have a problem with your printer, not your software. If you have the same problem with multiple software programs, then the one constant in your workflow is the printer. If the software were at fault none of the prints would turn out correctly. Take one of your prints that printed incorrectly on the first pass to Costco and see how a single copy comes out. I'm thinking it will print fine. Then try a test print (color chart or something generic from the printer) on your printer before you print an actual photo.
It would also help to know exactly how the first print is inaccurate: too light? too dark? Also tell us what printer you are using.
spug
Have you "soft proofed" before printing? If you have done this and your your screen and ink/paper are profiled correctly, then what you see is what you should get. Sounds very much like a printer problem to me too. Getting a test print on another printer (i.e. the "The Costco Option" mentioned above) is probably the way to find out.
erickpro
The weird thing is that it happens to both of my printers. I have an Epson Artisan 835 and a Canon 9500Pro MarkII. The first print is always inaccurate but the rest are fine.

First is off, other two are OK?

Author “Color Management for Photographers" & "Photoshop CC Color Management" (pluralsight.com)

erickpro
Another thing that happens is when I want to make more than one print of the same image, I would normally select amount of copies (say 4 copies) and do all the ICM etc... and it doesn't print all four... I have to go back to the print menu and then select a total of 3 and then it would print 3. Does it make sense?
