wmervine
After a quiet few months have started doing more portrait work of late. Funny how when I first started I wasn't interested in portraiture but now it's my favorite genre. Interesting to also see more portraits this week as well. Wonderful work all.

adam_weaver
With the grandparents looking after my toddler for a bit I ran around looking for a subject before it got completely dark. I think macro work is best done w/ a bit more time on hand, but we do what we can. Some large grasses gave a cool background to this shot. I probably should have closed it one stop further for slightly more dof on the flower. It's shot with a Lester Dine macro I recently picked up locally. It is built like a brick.

purplealien
Happy Wednesday everyone. My favourites this week:
Anura's fish
Chris's lizard
Daniel's sculpture
Tony's water
Erik's feet portrait
and Dave's F16

My picture was taken on my way to work this morning from a footbridge crossing the river Adur. The textures of the sand were very interesting in the low morning light.......

tombest
On vacation last week in the Carolinas... This is my son and his wife with their niece playing Pictionary Man. No TVs in the cabin... pure family time. What a great escape from the rat race in S Florida. Taken with a borrowed 12-24 F4.0 and my D200. What a fun lens.

Tom

jpalmer57
Happy Wed, all.
My favorites so far, Adam's beautiful flower shot and Chris's sand ripples.
Mine is one of several Bluebirds hanging out in a small park in our neighborhood. This one was nice enough to hold still for a few shots.

dave_wilson1
Happy Wednesday, all kinds of cool shots to study further. Here's a shot of my son performing at a local jazz event, I wanted something a little more off the track to use for some shots he needs, so this is one of them. Combined slow shutter blur with some pushing in PSE, enjoy. Nikon D200, 85mm AF, prol f2? Sometimes I want something different and just turn all the dials and play. Enjoy
