<p>To clarify my photo description: The frozen scene was contained in a pothole of a paved pullout along the Yellowstone River. I usually don't include pavement in my nature photography, but the black lines are created by the asphalt beneath the ice. It was my decision to saturate the blue tones when processing the RAW files, creating a somewhat more-colorful-than-life interpretation.</p>

<p>This is a (very) quick picture from the Zoo last week. One of the female gorillas was sitting on the other side of a glass wall and she attracted a large crowd of people snapping pictures. Fortunately, I got a turn before she became agitated and left. </p><div></div>

So many accomplished photographers, so many beautiful shots, you are all inspiring! My favorites this week are all leaves; I should have tried some myself. Christopher Sperry, Le Giao, and John Harper--my congratulations. Another standout for me is Jared Youtsey's "Stella." I took my shot last night in my shop; I thought the colored wires were interesting. Hope you like them too.</p>

My shot this week is of Nana, a 13 yr old lab retriever. Her owner wanted some shots of her doing what she loves. The lack of hearing, cataracts and arthritis did not keep her from going after the ducks on command. She truly loves doing this.</p><div></div>

<p>Thought I'd post another from the film I shot recently. This is a site I was scouting for a portrait shoot so took the opportunity to take a few photos. Kinda looks like the set from Transformers or something. </p><div></div>
