What do you think about my website

Not bad, but it needs work:

1. To much info on the front page about yourself, your old gear, etc, etc...make it leaner and, frankly, more interesting.
2. For a "travel"-something page, there's no reference (by gallery or by images) of places. If I want to see, for example, Greece images, there's no way for me to find them.
3. The people section is well, NOT about people. Very few portraits, mostly "stolen" shots. You need to edit more sternly.

Keep working at it...;-)

it would help to understand what is the goal of the site. For example, are you trying to:

- Find clients?
- Present your portfolio to the world?
- Promote selling your book?

Depending on the reason for the site, I can give you more advice. In the meantime, here are a few recommendations on the site itself (before you read on, I tend to be very direct and to the point with my comments. I apologize in-advance if you find this insulting):

- Kill the "Welcome to ..." image at the top. It is way too distracting. You can use a masthead with your name on it but it should be small and the colors should not call so much attention. Remember that you want your photos to be what the user is looking at

- Use bigger images. I like that your main image rotates. Make this image even bigger (remember that most users' screens are 1024x768 or larger. Your image wide is 751. Increase it 900 pixels across, or something similar

- Reduce the copy dramatically. And as Ted said, have someone edit it for you

- Move the section that describes yourself to a page "About Me" or something named similar

- Make it easy for people to contact you. Move the link "Contact" from the footer to the header

If you could respond with more information as to the reason why you have the site, I can respond with additional pointers.
