<p>On the Rhinogydd, a wild range of hills where the best walking is across occasional sheets of glacier-scoured 530 million year old rock.</p><div></div>

<p>And gnarled oaks by a lake low in the Rhinogydd as the sun went down.</p><div></div>

<p><strong>I've</strong> got nothing else good to contribute other than a self-portrait. Been a bit under the weather the last few days, so I haven't been out much. Not a thought out portrait by any stretch of the imagination, just playing with on camera flash. I want to get better at using the little shoe mounted flashes so that I don't have to lug around my Alien Bee stuff- you'll notice from my flickr stream that the AB gets very little use!</p>

<p><strong>After</strong> playing around a bit, I found I got the best on-camera results if I set the camera to expose the scene at -1ev and manually set the flash to the lowest GN (FL36R w/omni bounce) for the fill. Very fancy, I know ;)</p>

<p>Rained for a week here in TN, today no rain so I got to go out and shoot.the first is in the Old L&N (Louisville & Nashville) train depot lobby in Bowling Green, Kentucky that had the gorgeous old curtains with a old rope to open and close the curtains.</p><div></div>
