Not much time to shoot these days with finals, but here is an image I shot back in April of a the bottom of a brand new Ryanair Boeing 737. Did you know that the Boeing 737 does not have doors over the main landing gear in order to save weight?

00Xoko-309361684.JPG.ca10ee8f0724ba1ecafb0b0d7ed2a2e4.JPG

On saturday my son and I spent 2 hours on and around the sea ice down on the fjord. Salt water ice is great fun. As the tide goes out the thick layers of ice rest on underlying rocks. Without the water underneath to support it's weight it then collapses and cracks. It is intriguing to watch. A lot of these ice plates get taken out to sea with the tide, so you want to be sure that your not standing on one of those pieces when it loosens from the rest :-)

00Xol5-309369584.jpg.40adefe37efb79dda4100f52e7070bf2.jpg

Good morning all - My first contribution for a while, taken at the entrance to the old port at Bastia on a trip there a few weeks back. I'll have a few more to post in coming weeks I'm sure from this trip to the northern tip of Corsica, which I have decided is heaven on earth!

00Xomg-309405584.jpg.591a20e041998ec1768c3e2f2868adaa.jpg

That's a beautiful bird portrait Jose. Lots of really nice photos up already! My photo this week was taken early Sunday morning. I spotted a little beetle on this Mexican Hat flower and started to take a photo when I saw some antennae sticking out from underneath. I turned it over and saw a cluster of sleeping *tiny* bees. I was taking natural light shots, so had my tripod, took three photos in different focal planes, and stacked them to increase the apparent DOF. Tech: D90/Sigma 150mm/1.4x teleconverter @ 1/60, f/11, ISO 400.

This is our neighbor's house. When I first saw it, I imagined a crumpled body inside collapsed against the Christmas tree. My instinct was to call the police but decided to try knocking on the door first. The neighbor answered right away and explained that everything was fine and that the display was arranged deliberately to create this effect. It's still a bit puzzling to me.

Good morn to all. I know many of you are snowed in around the country. So I thought I'd tease you with a shot from a week ago in Fl. This lady and her dog were out early with me enjoying the sunrise. She had so much going on I enjoyed photographing them. Nikon D3, Nikon 80-400 VR, 400mm, F/13/ , 200sec, ISO 400, Sb 800 flash with diffuser.

00XooJ-309447584.thumb.jpg.b493c19d4342e1e01e545fb15db63e8a.jpg
