<p>I didn't shoot sports this weekend, but here is an "on-the-bike" shot taken last August at the Gorges du Verdon in France.<br>

it's f3.2, not f23.2 (sorry, don't know how to edit captions)</p><div></div>

<p>another one... 1/60s seems to be about right to get a bit of motion blur and keep the riders sharp, giving the impression of speed.<br />Gorges du Verdon is France's "Grand Canyon" -- pretty impressive. It is due west of Vaison la Romaine, a cobbled old Roman town in the lavender growing region of Provence, near the base of Mt. Ventoux, a 6000' climb.</p><div></div>

<p>I shot some girls U13 soccer in a dark, dank afternoon on a pitch that resembled the rolling hills of Scotland.</p>

<p>I shot a boxing match that happened this Saturday. I got a lot of help from the people on this forum in terms of what lens to get and a bunch of advice, so much thanks go to photo.net! I really appreciate the community here!<br>

I definitely have more respect for you boxing photographers. It's so hard to get a good punch! I took over 500 pics and this was one of the few that came out okay.<br>
