Lightscribe question

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I've looked and couldn't find: does it come with it's own software or do I need to purchase something additional?</p>

<p>I'm sure it will come with basic software. They all do. Just to be clear: you're aware this is an internal unit, not a USB-connected desktop device, right?</p>

<p>Thanks Matt, yes, that's what I my thought is - it just didn't specify online. And I do realize that it's an internal... my beefed up computer has plenty of expansion slots :)</p>

<p>Comes with its own software. It works really well too. I've used it several times.</p>

<p>I used the USB version of the Memorex Lightscribe drive for a while until I got a new HP PC with internal Lightscribe drive. The label quality from the HP drive is far superior to the Memorex output. So, you may want to look at some other brand options.</p>

<p>Also, if you're just looking for simple labeling software without a lot of fancy stuff you might never use, you can download the Lightscribe Template Labeler from the Lightscribe site (free).</p>
