Summer of 69, Nat Geo Photography Returns to Ireland after 40 years

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I came across this documentary about a national geography photographer (Jim Sugar) who came to Ireland in 1969 and shot a cover story for the magazine, he has now come back 40 years later to try and re-create the same shots he took back then & compare the old / new photos, how the locations & people have changed.

Thought it was pretty cool idea & it was fun to watch especially as I've never seen any documentries like this following a photographer.

Thanks for the link John. I'm envious that Jim Sugar was able to do all of that at the age of 22.

Sometimes I really wish I had been around for the 60's, if nothing else than for the music. Being born in '77 all I got was the tail end of the Disco era and some really big hair in the 80's. :-)
