<p>It depends on what kind of panos you intend to shoot. Unless you are after the complicated 4 square and more complicated I don't see any need for any extra gadgets ... either a stitch programme of better a good editing programme with layers to permit you to manually do the stitch.</p>

<p>I love my Gigapan. I have an Epic 100 and have used a Nikon D700 and lens on it with success. You can see my photos if you go to the Gigapan website and type in nathantw for the user. There are some Canon SD950 mixed in with D700 pictures. The Epic 100 has a max load of 5.1 pounds. Any more and it won't work properly. If your lens and camera outweigh that then you need an Epic Pro. The Epic Pro will also keep your camera level whereas the Epic 100's camera plate bends a little. The Epic 100 was made for SMALL cameras, not DSLR's.<br>

If you buy one, have a good time. I enjoy using mine, though the process is very time consuming (about 3 - 5 minutes for 120 pictures to be taken).</p>
