riclan
Happy Wednesday to all of you. In a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona, I went hiking at the Pinnacle Peak mountain and I saw this rare Gila Monster. My first time shooting wild animal. He was out for few seconds. So excited, I didn't realize the flower in front. Still in the process of learning composition

birdied
Good Wednesday to everyone. Great shots already.

This past weekend I took a photography class on flowers. We went to Longue Vue Gardens to photograph the beautiful flowers that are blooming on these 4 acres in the midst of the city. It was so peaceful, and quiet, like stepping into another world.
While others were taking grand landscape type photos, I found myself on the ground with the lens as close as I could get to the flowers or trying to chase some bug to get a picture. Help, I can't get away from shooting macro!!!

peterafle
WoW! Another wIlD and WoNDerFUl WeDNesDaY! Seems like I wasn't the only in a macro frame of mind this week. This is a shot of the centimeter-long blossoms on the blueberry bushes in my garden, once again taken with my late father-in-law's vintage extension tubes and the E-series 50mm lens from the Nikon EM he bought my wife's mother in an ultimately unsuccessful effort to get her into photography.
I'll be back with comments on the spectacular offerings later in the day, but I can already tell this is going to be a great thread...
PR

ofey_kalakar
Spring is springing here. For this weeks contribution I am posting a picture of baby blooms in a front yard taken a couple weeks ago in a small town called Niagara on the Lake. It's a quaint town in Southern Ontario, near the US NY border. This town hosts a playwright's festival named after George Bernard Shaw. Hence the name of the festival, The Shaw Festival. The surrounding region is also home to many wineries, one of three in Southern Ontario. The other two are in and around Lake Eerie and a smaller region East of Toronto in Prince Edward County.
