hfd4177
Hello all. I finally built myself a website. Please critique. The sight is not 100% yet but looking for critique on basic design as well as ideas on how to improve it. All comments are welcome. I am using smugmug as a host. Does anyonle else use smugmug? Are you happy with them? Anyway thanks in advance. The site is www.bkgphoto.com
nathan_meador
You might double check all your gallery settings. Some have photos that can be downloaded by anyone, they aren't all 'protected'. I use smugmug as well and like it fine. They have real good customer service and I find their site easy to use.

martindomok
How do U protect photos then, do a flash site?
Watermark?
What about if I dont want to have a watermark on my pictures. Even if I have at the top or bottom corner, it can be easily cropped...

hfd4177
Thanks M M Id like to know how to protect them better without a watermark as well
nathan_meador
You can protect them by going into the galleriy, select tools, customize gallery and then go down to the 'protected yes/no' and select yes. Then people shouldn't be able to pull your photos directly from the site. As far as I can tell, you have to do that every time you create a new gallery.
nathan_meador
There is also a feature where you can create a watermark to go on your photos when viewed, there is a walk-through that explains how to do that on smugmug. If you haven't already, check out their FAQ.
eric rose
Nice photos, however, never never never have an "under construction" indication anywhere in your site. If it's not ready to publish then don't. Just my not so humble opinion.
