haggai_cohen_milo
Hello dear friends,

I just got a used Mamiya RZ pro II last night from a family member. Everything looks fine, however, from the first roll I shote there I had a problem advancing the film after the 7th or 8 frame.
I am using 120 back with 120 film. I tried few different rolles and had the same problem with all of them. After I shoot the 7th frame, I try to advance the film and it's just stuck. Nothing is moving and the camera will not shoot.
This is my first time using the RZ - what am I missing here ?? I really hope I can find the problem and solve it fast so I can use it for a shoot I have planed for tomorrow.
Thank you very much,
Haggai

haggai_cohen_milo
I checked, the T-switch was in the N position the whole time. However, now that yo mention that, what does this switch even does?
ilmilco
Haggai,
do you have the user manuals that belong with the RZ67 ? These can be downloaded free from internet. I purchased a used RZ67 PRO II recently , and the first thing i did was to download the manuals. I think you need these to operate the camera correctly.
Please see enclosed the link for downloads :
http://www.mamiya.com/customer-service-instruction-manuals-downloads-6x7.html

Best greetings
carlwakefield
Haggai, I have an RZ67 and have two120 film backs. On one back It only advances until the 7th or 8th frame some times. I always look at the number on the film back. I have to advance the film on the knob on the film back and then all is OK. On the other back I do not have the problem. See if you can advance the film with the knob on film back when it blocks.
thomas_hardy1
I have an RZ and I took it out to shoot after not using it for a while. It starting acting like that too.
I did DL the manual a couple of years ago when I bought it, but I need to look for it. We're probably just doing something wrong as was suggested above. That's no comfort when you're ruinimg film though.

What a big weird camera.
