michelle_frankfurter1
Hi there-I am designing a blog and want to use a handwriting font. I downloaded one from Font Garden, unzipped, and clicked the "install" button. I see that the font was installed in my Font Book. It appears in my Photoshop (CS3) font menu. When I select the font using the Text tool, nothing happens. The cursor doesn't budge and no text appears. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Michelle
saad_m
if the font is beng used in a blog that is in HTML, unless people have it installed, it wont show up on peoples computers. Just a point. Try and stick to using default fonts to ensure it looks the same on everyones computer
john tonai
Saad is correct. However, you still have a problem with your font. If you embed it into a Photoshop image is will work. Since it shows up in your font menu, it might indicate a defective font. Does the font work in other software? If you use a different font in Photoshop does the text tool work? If so, create some text with another font, then select the text and try to change it to your new font. If nothing works, you should remove the font, download a new copy and try again.
shannon k
You don't by any chance happen to be using the same color for your text as you have for the background, do you? (i.e. white background with white type = invisible words)
