Why is the title of a photo so important?!

It's not, in my opinion. You know that photo God's Fury on this site? By Mircea whoever? I think it'd be better without a name. I hadn't known it was a before-the-storm picture. Where are the birds going? Why is the field so strangely empty? As soon as you know it's a storm, it becomes less interesting.

<p>I think a title of a photo works like a title of a book, a story, a movie or a song. It provides a very brief insight as to the intended theme but nothing more. It also depends on whether a photo is intended as a: work of "art", propaganda or documentary piece as to whether a title is sometimes necessary or not.<br>
