lex_jenkins
Mod note: Title updated to reflect subject. Also, I'm bumping this over to the Casual forum where it's more likely to be seen since the OT forum is for, well, anything *other* than photography.

This is a slide show of photos from New York Times fashion photographer Bill Cunningham taken on the Wash DC streets outside the Presidential inauguration. Interesting perspective as he decided to focus on the fashion statements made by folks celebrating a remarkable event.

IMO, the photos are nothing special. Cunningham seems uncomfortable with the street photography genre so there are too many timid "from behind" and "from the side" snaps, often blurred. I can think of a dozen or more Photo.net members who could have done better (Jeff Spirer, Brad, Ton Mestrom, Meir Samel, to name only a few).

But, the slideshow is still well worth viewing for a refreshing perspective on a now too-familiar event. I did get a kick out of the combination "fashion statement/trying to stay warm" combos!
