richard_thomas8
When I impot my photos, after they process they come out way too red. They look fine in the viewer but when I gointo the develop section the process and turn too red.
ellis_vener_photography
What are your settings? How is your display calibrated and profiled?
arpipap
Check out if you have the Adobe RGB selected or other when you export.(should be at the File settings tab) I have sRGB and it is fine.
peter_stacey
If you import without generating a jpeg preview, the Library module will only show the in camera jpeg (normally it will initially show the in camera jpeg, but will then go through and produce its own version). So what is happening is that you are probably seeing the in camera jpeg preview in the Library module, but once you go to the Develop module, Lightroom is generating an image based on the default settings. If you don't like the default settings for LR/ACR, then you can develop your own default settings, or it's easier to install the new DNG profiles and set one as the new default. Hope that helps. richard_thomas8
I use xrite eye 1 to calibrate my apple display. I shoot adobeRGB RAW and the camera profile is set ACR 4.4 what are DNG profiles? really just need to take the this red away.
roger_smith4
RAW doesn't have a color space (AdobeRGB setting in camera is just for jpegs) DNG profiles are the same as camera raw profiles. You can color correct by shooting a grey card and using the grey eyedropper on that. You can reduce red a few ways including on the calibration tab at the bottom- decrease saturation. rombon
Try another camera calibration profile if you use Canon or Nikon cameras. You can get package of them on Adobe site and you can install all of them at once. They are still beta version but they are good indeed. I use Nikon D-300 and I find ACR 4.4 profile and Adobe standard Beta 1.0 profile too red in some situations (especially with Caucasian skin tones). I prefer Camera D2X mode 2 beta profile. It's not a profile only for Nikon camera D2X but it is camera specific (I get the D2X mode 2 look with my D300 files). I use Adobe Lightroom from first public beta version and I think that camera profiles (thanks to Mr. Eric Chan) solved the last obstacle to make Lightroom really fully configurable raw converter. The moment I realized how useful those profiles are I removed Nikon Capture NX from my computer. Regards, Marko
peter_stacey
Richard, In relation to DNG profiles, see the Adobe labs here: http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles and some explanations from Eric Chan here: http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/DNG_Profiles:Editor
