I am planning to buy it in next 1 year but for the present time i just have to concentrate on PC options. Do you use aperture for your pictures border? How long it takes to convert frameless pictures to with frame - for example - 100 images of same style of frame? Are there ready pamplets kind of thing in mac? If someone can give me some suggession for PC options then they are welcome to do so. Take care. Mani
sngreen
There are many ways to do it but the "canvas size" route is the easiest, http://www.photos-of-the-year.com/articles/frame/ Repeat it several times, see what works what does not, and record the steps into one action. Use percentage instead of the exact size when downsizing, so it works the same for all images. - sergey
costas_h
Here is a template that looks like the one you did. Just paste your photo over Layer 1 and choose your text and frame color from the adjustment layers. http://rapidshare.com/files/138201984/Template.zip Or try software like Akvis frame suite. It has plenty of ready made templates and options for various types of frames.
djthomas
There's a pretty good book out there by Dave Cross called 'Photoshop Finishing Touches' who does a pretty good job of showing you a number of possibilities for adding that finishing touch to your images. I saw him at a NAPP seminar almost two years ago and he demonstrated some of these techniques. It is nice to see your own photographs displayed--especially matted and behind glass. This book shows some of the tools available to add that little extra that can provide a more finished image. Of course, all things in moderation: some of these can get overdone, but at least it can give you a starting point. --David

costas_h
Sorry I didn't explain enough... You just need to open the photo you want in Photoshop and also the template in another window. First resize the template to the resolution of your photo (Image/Image size and uncheck "constrain proportions"). Don't worry about proportions or size, the quality won't change. Ctrl+a to select all on your photo then go to the template and click on the lower layer (look at the palette at the righthand side) and click Ctrl+v to paste your photo above it. That's it, you can now adjust the colour of your frame and line by double clicking the two layers above; click on the solid box of "color fill 2" to change frame color and on "shape 1" to change color line. Finally click the top layer to adjust your text. You should try doing something similar yourself. It really is simple and learning Photoshop is definitely going to improve your photography.
