"defining moments"

Recommended Posts

Thanks John. I looked at their portfolios and I find it very useful and interesting. Some of them are doing a conceptual (art) work, some of them are photojournalists from Magnum. I like the whole concept of "Slideluckpotshow". The conceptual works caught my eyes, as you called it philosophical stuff.

I like a lot their vision of defining a moments. And the Magnum war photographs looks more vibrant to me than the one from your earlier post.

The moments from an ordinary life are so lively depicted. They are open, natural, surrealistic too. The whole mood couldn't have done better.

Thanks once again!

Kristina, I'm glad somebody looked. I don't make the Magnum-vs-conceptual distinction that you do, and I certainly don't associate "conceptual" with "art," but I probably understand your point.

John,

Conceptual art works are popular today very much. But every work of art has to have some concept. Of course, one of these ideas presented here in Slideluckpotshow, shows the continuity of one situation - sequential ordering. Is it only a conceptual work, than? A conceptual performance?

Does a war photographer (from Magnum) perform conceptual work on a war field?
