mharris
Someone asked for me to post some shots from my first roll in my Zeiss Ikon ZM. I sort of forgot who so maybe they'll see it: <img src="http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f158/mharris660/IkonWEB.jpg">Zeiss Ikon and the 28mm Biogon

jeff_drew4
Very nice balance and colors! I have always been favorably impressed with Zeiss glass, and it looks like you have a winner!

mharris
Thanks everyone, the film is a fuji 400 I had never heard of until recently, I'm beginning to like it. I had been using that Kodak 400UC. This film is called Fujicolor Press 400. When I bought this Ikon body I was going to get an M7. I'm sort of glad I didn't because with the savings I was able to get the 28mm Biogon and a Canadian 50mm Summicron.
thomas_risberg
Thanks for the film info - might give that Fuji a try. How did you scan these pics?
mharris
Thomas these were scans from the developing place pretty low res stuff. When I rescan them on my Konica Minolta 35mm film scanner they are even sharper.
laurentvuillard
Nice pics but do try the Fuji Provia 400XX this is THE 400 film, it's like a 400asa Kodachrome! Biogon looks brilliant. I've read negative comments as to vignetting. Did you correct the scans for light fall off in the corners , or did you use a reasonable aperture ? calebcondit
I wouldn?t say its the ONLY 400 film...the new porta 400 is pretty amazing as well. Film is only getting better these days.
robert loop
I like these shots ... but a real picture exists only when you can look at it printed.. and not a PC/Mac screen..... I hate looking at picture on a PC screen... that is like looking at a Monet painting on PC !
