tamandra
I just had to share this here. I posted about entering juried shows last month, and some of you great folks helped me decide on a second entry. It was my nephew, a young boy waiting...and guess what? I took first place! I'm sooo excited! This is only my second juried show with my photography, and the first where all the entries were photography. So I get to have a solo show, in less than 2 weeks! Now I have to decide on a lot more pieces lol. I wonder if I should keep with the same theme, or mix it up. I guess I'll just go through all my photos, and pic out the best of the best, then go from there. And I'll be buying a bunch of frames! I'd like to put some on canvas, but only have an Epson R2400. I don't know how to mount them, yet either. Is there any places online to get canvas prints at a reasonable cost? I think I made a goof with the size, in that I told them the actual print size. I was told by another artist that you are supposed to put the matted size as the size. Is this right? Also, what's best with signing, on the mat, or on the print? It seems to be up to the preference of the artist on that, I suppose. I'm so thankful for this forum! I've learned so much, and gotten some great help. Thanks everyone :)) Tamandra

tamandra
I've been meaning to organize and add more photos. I think I'll do that, and make a folder of my picks, and narrow them down from there. My dog's breeder came up with a great theme..."face value", because so many she said seem to be just that, faces that show what they are at face value. Sounds really cool, actually. This is exciting and scary. Kind of like jumping in the deep end to learn to swim!
