dennis_didio
In an effort to get back to basics, I recently purchased a Bronica ETR. Loaded the film today, but have a problem. When I trip the shutter, the mirror won't flip back down unless I advance the film again. Operator error or do I have a problem?
jimmy_english
No problem. Thats the way it works. You can buy a motor winder that will automaticaly wind on - thus bringing the mirror back into viewing position. Bronica made 2 for the ETR/ETRs/ETRSi cameras. At one time I had the older version but sold it as the grip didn't handle well for me. The newer one looks like it is much more ergonomic(sp). Uncle Goose
Don't forget that the motorwinder is a great tool but it's rather heavy. How much batteries does it take again?? 8 AA batteries?? Don't remember exactly.
SCL
Get a manual at www.butkus.org. It will solve a variety of questions on this quirky camera. I love mine, but it was interesting trying to figure out its quirks until I got a manual!
frank_kimble
Get a manual winder and it will handle like a big manual 35mm.
