ronald_moravec1
Small brush with camera held so it falls loose after being dislodged. Work on your back. Clean up final with alcohol on cotton swab. Don`t touch the mirror. Maybe a small blast from canned air and the can must be vertical and free some propellent first to make sure there is no liquid coming out. These are first surface mirrors and difficult to clean without scratching. If you try a brush, it better be a new soft brush and cleaned of any finger oil with acetone and allowed to dry 24 hours. Use only the very tip. Keep away from it with any cloth. I assume this is not a digi cam.
bobatkins
Just don't use the dishwasher... Lenses are mirrors should be cleaned very carefully and as infrequently as possible. People do far more damage cleaning optics that don't need cleaning than the dust on them would have caused if left in place. ben_hutcherson
Ali, Please see my response to your question posted yesterday, which was moved to the Canon FD forum since it concerned a Canon AE-1. http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00Kgug
