ben_hutcherson
A few days ago in this thread http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00KMAO it was asked whether or not anyone had dealt with the company TDA Trading on Ebay. I ordered 10 rolls of 120 Velvia 100F from them on Sunday night and paid on Monday morning. I received my film today. I haven't tested the film yet, but since it's still in date, I expect it to be good. They're also currently listing 20 roll packs of Provia 100F in 120 for $40 that expired in 2005. I'll probably buy one of them also.
craig_sander
Ben, You also metioned that they had overcharged you, or at least, it appeared that way. Was that ever looked into? Was the price listed what your credit card was charged or was it doubled like you thought it was?
ben_hutcherson
Craig,The double price on shipping was Ebay's doing. When they sent me an invoice the next morning, it had the correct and calculated shipping amount. I paid $6.28 for shipping on 10 rolls, and not double that cost as came up when I tried to make an instant Paypal payment. As I paid with Paypal, I know that they can't have overcharged me. craig_sander
How did you find them on eBay? I tried doing a seller search and TDATrading didn't come up. I would feel better knowing that they were on eBay with a good rating. Also, have you had any experience with photosuperia.com? They seem pretty reasonable too, but since I'm new to ordering film over the internet, I would like it if someone who has more experience could give me their input. Its kinda unfortunate that I have to order over the internet now. Where I live, there isn't much selection for professional film retailers. And the one place that USED to be reliable has lost its customer service skills and makes it a pain to shop there.
ben_hutcherson
Craig, Their name on Ebay is t.d.a.trading , with the periods. I didn't realize they had a website-I'll have to check that out, too. They have a rating of over 2800 at 99.9% positive, so I'd say they're pretty safe. I'm certainly happy. Can't say that I've ever ordered from photosuperia.com-I'll take a look at them, too.
