grenex
I have posted many shots for ratings. A couple have gotten 22+ ratings and lots of comments, while others get less then 5-6 ratings and no commments. Is there a better time/day to post your stuff when people are looking? stp
I think the best time to post for ratings is just about the time you post a really great shot.
Ian Taylor
I would concentrate on what time of day is the light best for taking photos.

jay sturdevant
Hey Kevin, if posters weren't so eager to make you feel stupid they would assume you have already concentrated on the photography part, and just want good feedback. I think your question is valid because if you don't get high scores or ask for critique only, your image cycles through pretty quickly. Photo.net has posters from all over the world so even though most people's surfing time might be evening, it is always evening somewhere. I saw a stat once that said the majority of members are male and Americans, so one obvious answer would be aim for US evening hours for sheer volume, and if you've ever seen the response to women's questions in the forum, well.....anyways, my experience has been you will get people from different nationalities at different times of day. grenex
Thank you Jay...that was more of the kind of info I was looking for.
stp
Kevin, I didn't mean to sound flippant, but I really believe that a good shot will get ratings and comments regardless of the time of day or day of the week that it is posted. Something that you can do, however, is to be a frequent contributor of ratings (if you choose) and/or comments on the photographs of others, and that will gradually make you known to more and more people which will likely lead to more responses to your own photographs.
