GREAT DOLLAR CAMERA CHALLENGE

This is the follow-up to the GREAT DOLLAR CAMERA CHALLENGE post from

a week ago. The idea being, to buy a $1 camera from a dollar store,

take pictures, and post. And prove (or disprove as the case may be)

that it's not the camera, it's the photographer! I'll start off

with a couple, y'all jump right in.
00FW7v-28593084.jpg.2dc5c0a7dcd829ebef8be182d5f229f5.jpg

One thing I've noticed with my $1 cameras- occasional frames would

be off on framing (badly)- but not all of them. Took me a while to

figure it out. Moving your eye relative to the viewfinder changes

the framing that you see. It shouldn't- but it does. So you have

to get your eye centered over the viewfinder to get things centered

in the framing. I don't know if that shot above comes from this,

but it reminded me of it.

My dollar cam has two view winders, one is the normal kind that you

would look through, the other is similar to that of a TLR with the

view screen placed on the top that you would look down into. When I

use this one, I find that the actual picture is taken much lower than

what the screen shows. But, this particular picture was taken by

pressing the button with a stick, moving the camera, in turn cutting

off our heads. I like the unexpected outcome even still.
