joop
2 weeks ago, I spent a long weekend in Paris, took my M3 and 50/2, 35/2 and VC 25/4 and 15/4.5 and many films with me. It was a great trip. Here are some shots: <br> <br> <center> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/63/198291544_f8e021fa88_o.jpg" width="471" height="700"> <br><i> Pantheon, 50/2 </i> <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/60/191673087_5d8c2762de_o.jpg" width="470" height="700"> <br><i>Metro Station Cite, 25/4, 1/8 sec</i><br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/40/191673081_0560f01892_o.jpg" width="700" height="473"> <br><i>Pont des Arts, 50/2 </i><br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/51/191673085_dd1fdb1cd7_o.jpg" width="700" height="470"> <br><i>Tuillerie, 50/2 </i><br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/63/191669810_bff287ef37_o.jpg" width="471" height="700"> <br><i> Pantheon, 15/4.5 <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/65/191669808_ce260922e9_o.jpg" width="471" height="700"> <br>Louvre, 50/2 <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/46/191669805_423bc52633_o.jpg" width="465" height="700"> <br>Tour Eiffel, 35/2 <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/55/191669804_0f2aa83cd1_o.jpg" width="455" height="700"> <br>Louvre, 50/2 <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/52/191669807_8580cc35d0_o.jpg" width="700" height="473"> <br> Eiffel Tower, 15/4.5 </center> <br> <br>
john_graham3
Very nice stuff Joop. I'm leaving on a cruise tomorrow and after seeing your shots and the other fellow (I forgot his name)with black and white travel shots I'm thinking of taking some of the C-41 b/w film with me that I've got in the fridge. I doubt I'll be able to pull off such nice shots never having used b/w for that kind of thing before but it will be an interesting experiment/challenge. Let my kids do the typical vacation snaps with their digis :*)
joop
</i> have a nice rip, John. I'm always happy to bring the small 15/4.5 when I visit cities. It can give nice results.

paul_neuthaler
Really nice shots: I like the photos taken with the 50/2 lense the best.
joop
Thank you all for the nice comments. Since I got the M3, I've started to appreciate my 50 mm lense more and more. I agree with Paul, it seems the best pictures (not only in this couple of shots) are made with the least fancy lenses (50mm and 35 mm, I think).<br> Here are some more: <center> <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/58/199416555_095362d9e1_o.jpg"> <br><i>Jardin de Luxembourg, 50/2 </i> <br> <br> <img src="http://static.flickr.com/60/199416558_d4ad2a9c47_o.jpg"> <br><i>"Voiture-speciale", 50/2 </i> </center>
stric
These are somme very beautiful b&w shots of the city. I love them. I must say I really like the vintage feel that they produce. I guess the film is after all still very much alive:)

vics
Beautiful pictures of my all time favorite city. Maybe you'd like to see my first trip to Paris with my M3? http://vicstewartphotos.blogspot.com. Not all Leica, but many are. Vic
Rob F.
Jopp, I think you did quite well with all focal lengths. I took the liberty of making a slight crop of one wide-angle shot, to get rid of the foreground stretch, and emphasize the relationship between the circles in the roof and floor. Hope you don't mind.<div></div>
joop
Nice done Rob. These are negative scans, I was already thinking of making the print in the way you cropped it. or maybe make really squared.
